Meet the animals

The Alpacas

We have 5 alpacas currently, Harold, Frank, Zuma, Boris and Sylus

The Pigs

We have 3 KuneKune pigs called Dave, Jim and Gary. These 3 boys are known as barrows, castrated at a young age they stay very tame and affectionate – they love tummy rubs and snacks, and would have you believe that they’ve never been fed before.

The Chickens

We have over 20 chickens, including 4 roosters, while most the hens don’t have names, our roosters are Nelson, Barrack, Ohjee and Harry. A significant portion of the chickens are rescues from the British Hen Welfare Trust (http://www.bhwt.org), though we have a number of farm hatched chickens that are a variety of breeds, from tiny bantams through to very large brahmas.

The Geese

We have 3 geese (Ganders), 1 Chinese goose called Maverick who is farm hatched, and 2 Emdens. Honk and Bonk. These guys run around in a separate area as they can be quite intimidating to guests if you’re not familiar with geese!

The Dogs

We also have 2 small bulldogs, Hank and Ubu, you probably won’t meet Ubu as she can be anxious around strangers. Ubu is a French/English bulldog cross and Hank is a French bulldog.
